Attend A Public Feedback Session On Proposed Flatbush Avenue Improvements

Proposed Changes to Flatbush Avenue

Could Flatbush Avenue work with just two lanes of traffic?

The NYC Department of Transportation is hosting a public feedback session about proposed improvements to Flatbush Avenue between Empire Blvd/Ocean Ave and Nostrand Ave, which would include safer lane widths, left-turn bays, commercial loading zones, new pavement markings, and ideas to reduce lane changing and double parking.

Community Board 14 has a copy of the event flyer available here. We reached out to the DOT for more details, but they just told us to come to the meeting to hear more.

It will be held on Monday, September 30 at 7:30pm at the Erasmus High School Auditorium, 911 Flatbush Avenue, between Church and Snyder Avenues.

For meeting information or special needs accommodations, contact project manager Ilana Wagner at 212-839-7744.
