What would happen if another storm like Hurricane Sandy hit our area tomorrow?

That’s what residents will be asking the NYC Office of Emergency Management at a meeting of the Manhattan Beach Community Group tonight, Wednesday, September 16 at 7:30pm at P.S. 195 (131 Irwin Street).

“The mayor has a plan to protect lower Manhattan…but no one in the federal/state or city government has produced a plan to protect Manhattan Beach!!!” the group wrote in its email announcing the meeting.

A representative of the OEM will be on hand to answer questions about storm protection and individual planning measures that you and your family can prepare before another storm hits.

Light refreshments will be served. To learn more, email manhattanbeachbrooklyn.org@gmail.com.
