Armed Robbery At Mimi’s Hummus, Gunman Flees On Foot
There was just an armed robbery at Mimi’s Hummus (1209 Cortelyou Road), and the gunman, who had a scarf around his face, fled on foot after reportedly stealing about $100 in cash, according to neighbor Anthony Finkel (who’s also the economic development coordinator at the Flatbush Development Corporation).
Anthony told us the robbery happened around 10:30pm – he wasn’t a witness, but he said he came upon the police and everyone outside just after it happened. Police are now continuing to take statements outside the restaurant, and we’ve reached out to the 70th Precinct (officers from which Anthony noted responded immediately to the call about the robbery) for more information.
