Armed Robbery in Ocean Pkwy Building
The 66th Precinct is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for armed robbery inside an apartment building at 455 Ocean Parkway.
Police say that on Tuesday, August 28 at 6:35pm the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded property from someone inside the building–the don’t say if it was in an apartment or in a common area. The victim gave up their property and the suspect fled the location. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as approximately 6’2″ tall. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved blue button down shirt and dark jeans.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS, give a tip at their Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES), then then entering TIP577. Police say all calls are kept confidential.
The 15-story building located between Cortelyou and Ditmas seems to have been in the news quite a bit in the past year or so. Most recently there were reports that a suspect in a stabbing on Ditmas Ave fled to the building. Last year some teens were assaulted there, and sadly it was also the site of an elderly woman’s suicide.
