Armed Robbers Hit T-Mobile Store In Fort Greene; Cops Suspect They Also Targeted A Williamsburg Store
Cell phone stores in Williamsburg and Fort Greene were robbed at gunpoint by the same two people and the NYPD is asking for help in IDing and finding the suspects.
The latest robbery took place at the T-Mobile store at 336 Myrtle Avenue in broad daylight at 6:30pm on Thursday, August 13, say police. Three weeks earlier, on Sunday, July 26, the same two suspects reportedly hit up a MetroPCS store at 187 Havemeyer Street at two in the afternoon.
In both instances, police say the suspects enter the store, one pulls out a gun on a store employee, and the other walks behind the counter to steal cell phones and cash from the register. They then walk out without causing any injuries to the employee(s).
- Suspect #1 is described as being a 25-30 year male Black wearing a blue button down shirt, a blue Yankees cap with sunglasses.
- Suspect #2 is described as being a 25-30 year old male Black wearing a pink button down shirt, a gray cap with sunglasses.
