BUSHWICK/CROWN HEIGHTS/SOUTH SLOPE – Affordable housing lotteries recently launched for three Brooklyn buildings.

First is Bushwick’s 810 Flushing Avenue (at Beaver Street) which has nine one-bedrooms available for $1,039/month. The seven-story building was built in 2016 and houses 42 units, according to Street Easy.

The annual household income requirements for single applicants is between $35,623 – $40,080 and between $35,623 – $45,840 for couples.

Building amenities include a fitness center and rooftop deck. Priority will be given to residents of Brooklyn Community Board 4 (Bushwick), municipal employees, and applicants with mobility or vision/hearing disabilities.

267 Rogers Avenue (between Carroll and Crown Streets) in Crown Heights has 33 affordable units available including four one-bedrooms for $931/month; 27 two-bedrooms for $1,123/month; and two three-bedrooms for $1,292/month. See the annual household income requirements below.

Building amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby, a building supervisor, and a parking lot. Priority will be given to residents of Brooklyn Community Board 9 (South Crown Heights, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Wingate, portions of North Flatbush), municipal employees, and applicants with mobility or vision/hearing disabilities.

The five-story, 165-unit building also serves as a 132-family homeless shelter, DNA Info reports. 267 Rogers Avenue was the center of a court battle earlier this year when locals tried to prevent the facility from opening in their neighborhood that already hosts several shelters. The Department of Homeless Services was given the okay to open shelter in June, according to the article.

635 Fourth Avenue (between 18th & 19th Streets) has 19 affordable units available, including eight studios for $813/month; seven one-bedrooms for $840/month; and four two-bedrooms for $1,016/month.

The 12-story building was built in 2016 and houses 91 units, according to Street Easy. See the annual household income requirements below.

Building amenities include a gym, lounge, children’s room, bike room, pet spa, and outdoor space. Priority will be given to residents of Brooklyn Community Board 7 (Sunset Park, Windsor Terrace), municipal employees, and applicants with mobility or vision/hearing disabilities.
