Apply for a Neighborhood Grant of up to $2,000

Is your community group working on a project for the the arts, education, youth programs, or civic improvement? If you need money to make that project happen, the Park Slope Civic Council has a grant program for you.

You can apply if your organization is a non-profit/non-commercial one whose services, programs, and projects are open to residents of Park Slope. Priority is given to new projects that would not be fully funded in other ways, and which benefit a significant number of people in Park Slope.

There are two types of grant: Regular grants and a single Community Builder grant. A group may apply for either type, but not for both, during a grant cycle. Regular grants are usually for $500 or less, and the Community Builder grant is about $2,000. The Community Builder grant is awarded to a new project of special merit that could not be done without the help of the grant.

The application deadline is Friday, November 2. You can find the application here, and for more information, contact the Civic Council’s Grants Committee chair Greg Sutton at grants@parkslopeciviccouncil.org.
