Another Round Of Snow Makes For Messy Morning Commute

After a Sunday with mild temperatures, we’ve woken up to yet another round of snow, and it’s making commutes a little difficult.

The MTA has noted that a combination of track conditions due to this morning’s snow and a power outage on the Manhattan Bridge are messing up travel on the B, Q, N, and R trains, as well as buses. Additionally, a rail condition at Grand Street has been fixed, but it’s causing residual delays to northbound B and D trains between DeKalb Av and W 4 St-Washington Square.

The MTA suggests transferring to the 2, 3, 4, or 5 at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to get into the city.

There is a Winter Storm Warning today until 7pm, as well as a Hazardous Travel Advisory, with 5-8 inches of snow expected.

Alternate side parking rules are suspended for snow removal, but you still need to feed the meter.

Travel safe, and remember if needed that you can obtain a Delay Verification from the MTA here.

And of course, keep in mind these rules for snow and ice removal today to avoid tickets and keep you and your neighbors safe!
