Nor’easter Headed to New York
It’s looking more and more likely that another storm is coming to New York this week. Since the last time we reported on this storm two days ago, the forecasts have been getting worse.
The storm is projected to hit Wednesday afternoon and last into Thursday. NY1 is predicting moderate winds with gusts of up to 50mph and from two to four inches of rain that will include minor flooding in the Rockaways.
While damage from the storm should be minimal, recovery efforts throughout the city could be delayed.
There will be snow involved in the system, wrote Rob White at the Original Weather Blog, but whether or not it will hit New York remains to be seen.
The most important thing is to provide shelter and warmth for the millions who need it — including tens of thousands in New York — before this next storm hits.
