Another Fro-Yo Place Bites The Dust: Yogurtland Is Now Closed
It would appear that the fro-yo mania that descended on Park Slope a few years back is definitely starting to melt away.
Frozen yogurt shop Yogurtland closed its doors for the final time on Tuesday, according to a sign posted in the window, and as Here’s Park Slope first noted yesterday. The chain, which has locations around the country, opened at 207 7th Avenue, on the corner of 3rd Street, at the end of 2012, joining several other fro-yo joints around the neighborhood.
This is the second to shut down in the area in six months, following 5th Avenue’s YogurBerry — but that doesn’t mean we’re out of options, of course, because at peak-fro-yo, we had no fewer than six places to buy it between Flatbush and 9th Street. You can still grab some just a few blocks from the shuttered Yogurtland at Pinkberry (161 7th Avenue), plus at Red Mango (276 Flatbush Avenue) and perhaps the best of the bunch, Culture (331 5th Avenue).
