Ample Hills Bringing Ice Cream To Gowanus This Spring

If you’re one of those people who loves ice cream in any kind of weather, then dreaming about the new location of Ample Hills Creamery on a day like today is just going to make you hungry.

The Prospect Heights ice cream parlor is bringing its much-loved dessert — including a new, as-yet-not-created flavor called toxic sludge, inspired by the Canal — to 305 Nevins Street, the 3,600-square-foot, two-story space adjacent to the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club (which, by the way, should be opening to the public in a week or so). They say it’ll have a manufacturing facility in addition to a retail space, plus a roof deck and a private party space.

If the wait until spring is too long, you can head over to their space at 623 Vanderbilt Ave (or they deliver as far as Flatbush!), or you’ll even be able to make your own version of their ice cream at home, soon — they’ve got a book coming out in April.
