Afropunk Fest Lineup Will Include Lenny Kravitz, Thundercat, And Lauryn Hill

Mark your calendars and purchase your tickets now for this year’s Afropunk Fest at Commodore Barry Park on Saturday August 22 and Sunday, August 23 because the lineup is insanely awesome.

Confirmed performers currently include Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Kelis, Danny Brown, Suicidal Tendencies, Sza, Thundercat, GoldLink, Kaytranada, Curtis Harding, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and more.

This year, they’re also adding a Fancy Dress Ball, a fundraiser that will take place on Friday, August 21 in the park to raise funds for the Afropunk Global Initiative, which, according to its site, “dedicates itself to the promotion of diversity in media and the arts in addition to volunteer service.”
