Looking for a new companion? Melody the dog is sweet as sugar and looking for someone to give her all love for the long-term.

Some of you may remember Melody from earlier this summer. This pretty girl was left in a push cart, wearing a pink coat. When we removed Melody’s coat, we were horrified to see that she was nothing but skin and bones, and she was covered in lacerations. Melody went through our Critical Care Program, and after several weeks, she is now ready for her forever home. Melody is sweet as sugar, gentle, easy to walk, and friendly with other dogs her size. Melody is available to adopt or foster.

You can arrange to meet Melody at the Sean Casey Animal Shelter, located at 153 E 3rd Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue — a quick trip on the F/G to Fort Hamilton Parkway — open daily from 11am to 7pm.
