Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Abby The Dog

Abby the dog is looking for a home. She needs a lot of attention, but could be the perfect match for you. She’s currently living at Sean Casey Animal Rescue, which notes she is calmed by being in the presence of other dogs, adding:

She is a very fearful dog who is constantly passed up because she doesn’t give off the best first impression. She is in no way aggressive, just very scared of the outside world. One of our trusted volunteers took Abby to her home for a few hours where she came out of her shell and started to act like a happy dog. Here’s what our volunteer said about Abby: “Sweet Abby has a fear of being outside, she is in need of a home or foster that has the patience and of course love to help her adjust to a life she deserves. Abby feels much more comfortable with another dog around to make her feel calm, also a yard to help her learn to like the outside in a safe controlled environment on a leash because her fear may make her jump a fence. Abby is really a loving girl when she gets to know you.”

If you’d like to meet Abby, you can find her at the Sean Casey Animal Shelter, located at 153 E 3rd Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue open daily from 11am to 7pm. For more info, call 347-599-1500.
