Adoptable Animal Of The Week: Toco

If you’re looking to bring a little extra love into your home, we’ve got a handsome fella you should meet.

Toco was rescued from the streets of South Slope by fellow Corner News Media writer Nora Whelan when he was about five weeks old. She took the little guy in temporarily, and he ended up staying for five years!

Unfortunately, Nora’s living situation is changing, and the time has finally come to find Toco a forever home.

The cat is neutered, up to date on all of his shots, and best of all, Nora says that he is a wealth of talent.

“He does a great trick a lot of the time when you point or snap your fingers at him,” she explained, “meowing in response to anything you choose to ask (“Did you hide my keys?” or “Would you like a sandwich?” are personal favorites).

“He’s also afraid of sneezes,” she continued. “Once I sneezed and he backflipped off the couch.”

He’s a viral Buzzfeed video waiting to happen!

Nora said that, in an effort to find Toco a loving home as quickly as possible, she would be happy to help with transitional expenses like transportation, food, and supplies, and that she’d make a crackerjack pet sitter if you ever needed one.
