Adoptable Animal Of The Week: Huckleberry Hound

Looking for a new companion? Huckleberry Hound is a handsome 2.5 year old hound mix is looking for a patient family.

Sean Casey says:
Huckleberry came to SCAR from a kill shelter in Arkansas and is looking for a forever home where he can find lots of love and fun. This 2.5 year old hound mix has lots of energy and could use an experienced pack leader who can spend time with him walking and being outdoors. This handsome boy is playful and happy to meet new adults, although not great with children.
Although not aggressive toward other dogs, Huck would do best with a patient family where he can be the only pet. Stronger than he looks, he can pull somewhat on the leash and gets mouthy when overly stimulated. Although Huckleberry has developed some behaviors due to shelter stress, he will need consistent training and guidance as he adjusts to his new home.

You can arrange to meet Huck at the Sean Casey Animal Shelter, located at 153 E 3rd Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue — a quick trip on the F/G to Fort Hamilton Parkway — open daily from 11am to 7pm.
