Adopt A Pet For Free This Weekend At Sean Casey Animal Rescue

This weekend, on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, more that 50 animal shelters and rescue groups in the area –including Sean Casey Animal Rescue — are participating in Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days, the largest free pet adoption event in America:

The goal of Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days is to give all healthy, senior, and treatable shelter dogs and cats a second chance. The event also will help rescue organizations financially, thereby allowing them to save even more lives.

Qualified adopters can bring home a new pet (like 1-year-old Augosto, pictured here), and Maddie’s Fund will give that shelter or rescue group a certain amount of money — if you adopt an older pet, or one that has had care for a treatable medical condition, the organization will receive more money from the fund.

You can stop by the shelter at 153 E 3rd St, between Ft Hamilton and Caton, this weekend from 11am-7pm to meet a potential new friend.
