A. Cheng Moving Down 5th Avenue In The New Year, Current Space For Rent
Park Slope boutique A. Cheng, which set up shop at 152 5th Avenue about six years ago, will have a new home when it moves down the street come February 2014. Owner Alice Cheng tells us that she’s excited about the relocation, which will provide customers with an even better shopping experience.
“I’m really looking forward to redecorating, and having our merchandise better displayed and nicer fitting rooms,” she said.
The current 1,200-square-foot storefront is listed for rent by Metropolitan Reality at $6,000 per month. Though she hasn’t revealed the new address yet, she tells us that it’s nearby on 5th Ave, and adds that the move shouldn’t get in the way of post-holiday returns and sales shopping.
“We may be closed for the last week of January to move and transition everything over,” she said, “but we’re really trying to minimize our days closed so there is a smooth transition.”
So if you’re looking for gifts for loved ones (or for yourself) this holiday season, A. Cheng will be open as usual, and will be available with the same helpful service that we’ve found in the past. Alice says they’ve been busy helping shoppers find the perfect gifts for everyone on their lists — you can see some handy ideas on their site right now (the site will remain open and online orders will be fulfilled during the move, as well), or you can drop in when they’re open, Monday through Saturday 11am-7:30pm, and Sunday 11am-7pm, for some gift guidance.
