88th Precinct Crime Statistics: Slight Uptick In Reported Crimes From March 9-15
Reported crimes ticked up this week compared to last week, but in most categories, not by much. Robberies went from 2 to 3 cases, felony assaults from 0 to 1, and grand larcenies from 2 to 3. Auto thefts saw a larger jump, from 3 to 7 cases.
This past week, there was also a reported rape, whereas there had been none the previous week.
Burglaries remained the same, at 2 incidents reported.
In the non-major crime categories, crime also ticked up for petit larcenies (from 9 to 12), misdemeanor assaults (5 to 6), and misdemeanor sex crimes (from 0 to 1).
The next 88th Precinct Community Council meeting is Tuesday, April 21 at 7pm at the French Speaking Baptist Church, entrance at Vanderbilt and Willoughby Avenues.
