88th Precinct Crime Statistics: Fewer Robberies And Shootings, But More Transit And Housing Crimes

Crimes increased and decreased in different categories this week compared to last week.

Increases were seen in the following categories: rape from 0 to 1, auto thefts from 0 to 1, transit from 0 to 3, housing from 1 to 5, petit larceny from 15 to 17, and misdemeanor assaults from 6 to 10.

Fewer crimes occurred as follows: robbery from 3 to 1, grand larceny from 7 to 6, shooting victims from 4 to 1, and shooting incidents from 3 to 1.

The same amount of felony assaults (5) and burglaries (1) were reported.

The next 88th Precinct Community Council meeting is Tuesday, June 16 at 7pm at the French Speaking Baptist Church, entrance at Vanderbilt and Willoughby Avenues.
