88th Precinct Crime Statistics: Fewer Burglaries And Thefts, But More Assaults

The number of burglaries and grand larcenies dropped this week compared to last week (August 17-23), but misdemeanor assaults rose from 2 to 8 cases.

Reported crime fell in the following categories:

  • burglary (from 6 to 2)
  • grand larceny (from 8 to 2)
  • housing (from 4 to 2)
  • petit larceny (from 14 to 13)

Meanwhile, crime rose in these categories:

  • robberies (from 2 to 3)
  • auto thefts (from 1 to 2)
  • transit (from 1 to 2)
  • misdemeanor assault (from 2 to 8)
  • shootings and victims (from 0 to 1)

And these stayed the same:

  • felony assault (4)
  • misdemeanor sex crimes (1)

The next 88th Precinct Community Council meeting will be in SEPTEMBER.
