88th Precinct Crime Statistics: A Rise In Petit Larcenies And Misdemeanor Assaults
The third week of July (July 13 to 19) saw more ups and downs in crime in the 88th Precinct, especially compared to the previous week (July 6-12).
Reported crime fell in the following categories:
- felony assault (from 7 to 5)
- grand larceny (from 5 to 4)
- auto thefts (from 1 to 0)
- shooting victims (from 2 to 0)
Meanwhile, crime jumped in these categories:
- robbery (from 1 to 2)
- burglary (from 1 to 2)
- housing (from 1 to 2)
- petit larceny (from 9 to 13)
- misdemeanor assault (from 3 to 15)
And they stayed the same — one incident each:
- misdmeanor assault

The NYPD’s National Night Out festival will be held on Tuesday, August 4 at Fort Greene Park (DeKalb Avenue and Washington Park) from 11am-7pm AND at the Walt Whitman Houses at 117 North Oxford Walk from 5-8:30pm.
The next 88th Precinct Community Council meeting will be in SEPTEMBER.
