7th Avenue Shop Lisa Polansky To Close
The clothing and shoe store Lisa Polansky, located at 121 7th Avenue between Carroll and President, will be closing at the end of the year after 40 years in business.
A sign reading “Retirement Sale – Everything Must Go – Thanks For 40 Great Years” recently went up in the window, and, as FiPS first reported, owner Lisa isn’t being pushed out by a rent hike, as we’ve seen at some other 7th Avenue shops. Instead, she’s just ready to move on.
When we dropped by the other day, Lisa said she has some things she hopes to do, including pursing shoe design and sculpting, and perhaps even making a drive across country. But there are aspects to retirement that are a bit daunting.
“It’s exciting, but a little scary,” she said.
Stop in and grab that last pair of Converse while you can, and join us in wishing Lisa well in her retirement!
