7th Avenue Art Supplies Closing Its Doors

Sad news, South Slope. After 22 years in business, 7th Avenue Art Supplies (376 7th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Streets) is closing up shop.

An employee lamented on Monday that “the stream has diverted,” and we can’t help but wonder if it’s been flowing to 2nd Street’s Artist & Craftsman, which opened its first neighborhood location in May.

If you’d like to stop in and say goodbye, all merchandise is currently 25% off, and the store should remain open until mid-November.

We hear the frame shop next door will remain open.
