773 Lounge Adds Food With “The Shack In The Back” Kitchen

Sometime within the next week, 773 Lounge (773 Coney Island Ave, near Cortelyou Rd) will be opening a kitchen serving food from 7pm-2am Tuesday through Sunday. To be known as “The Food Shack in the Back,” the kitchen is slated to serve everything from appetizer go-tos like potato skins, nachos, and spinach and artichoke dip, to full-belly standbys like cheesesteaks and Reuben sandwiches.

The innovative twists to items like tempura-battered mozzarella sticks and “Irish Springer” rolls are owed to Chef Louis Addonizio, who plans to expand the spring menu in the near future to include a wider selection of sandwiches, seafood dishes, salad and dinner specials, and — pick your tongue up off the floor — a banana walnut bread ice cream sandwich.
