Point Break Live!
When: Saturday August 31, 8pm (7:00 doors)
Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw Street
What: LA’s longest-running stage show is back in Brooklyn this weekend, bringing “90s action, grit, gore and unintentionally hilarious dialogue of the original film.” Make note, though: audience participation is a big part of the show, with the starring role performed by an audience member (as selected in an impromptu “Are U Keanu?” contest) and the rest of the crowd as the movie’s fake blood- and rain- soaked extras. Sounds like chaotic and messy wish-fulfillment for anyone who ever wanted to be a 90s action star.
How much: Tickets $26, available here. They go quickly!
Novelization: A Reading Series Based On The Original Motion Picture

And some other people– very funny people– will be doing dramatic readings of these great works. It’s an exciting lineup, too; performers include Chris Gethard, Eliot Glazer, Sue Smith, among others.
