The Rockdoves

What: Dance and sing to the interactive live performance of The Rockdoves, whose music touches on everything from urban living and nature, to the value of friendship, family, and home with inspiration from folk, the blues, and rock ‘n roll.

Russian Film Series: Sentimental Grotesque
When: Saturday, November 2, 4pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Alexandra Sviridova presents “Sentimental Grotesque, or the Artists of the Jewish Theater.” The Jewish Theater was famous due to the artists who designed sets and costumes for the theatrical production. Chagall, Tyshler, Altman, and Falk are featured in this documentary.

’90s Hip-Hop and R&B Sing-Along
When: Saturday, November 2, 10:30pm (doors 10:15pm)
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street
What: After all that Halloween-themed entertainment, get up and belt out some Boyz II Men in your best ’90s flannel for a costume contest with prizes including free drinks and tickets to upcoming Bell House and Union Hall shows.

New York City Marathon
When: Sunday, November 3
Where: 4th Avenue
What: Head to 4th Avenue to cheer on the runners during their first few miles of the course! Start time from the Staten Island end of the Verrazano Bridge are from 8:30am-10:40am, so you’ll start seeing waves of runners not too long after those times.

Baby Wearing Workshop

What: Learn about options for carrying your baby to be mobile and get things done around the house or around town in this workshop hosted by Babywearers NYC leader Sarah Longwell-Stevens and member Evonne Cho.

Classical Interludes: WindSync

What: Hear this wind quintet that has been thrilling audiences nationwide with its unique approach to classical music and adventurous programming. Featuring flutist Garrett Hudson, Erin Tsai on oboe, Jack Marquardt on clarinet, bassoonist Tracy Jacobson, and Anni Hochhalter on the French horn.
