14th Street Donation Bin Goes Up In Flames Sunday Night

Somebody around 14th Street really hates those illegal donation bins.

FDNY responded to a small bin fire near the corner of 4th Avenue and 14th Street on Sunday night. Neighbor Tom Sutch tells us that the fire department sawed the bin open, and “extinguished it quickly.”

Charred clothing could still be found strewn across the sidewalk Monday morning.

This is the second bin fire on 14th Street, with the first occurring in July of 2013.
