Our performing arts camps explore music, acting, and dance. Many of our campers have gone on to professional careers. Of course, a performing arts camp helps out if your young camper has aspirations of attending high school at LaGuradia, Murrow, or Frank Sinatra.

Cortelyou Academic and Sports Camp teaching life lessons through camp experiences. We offer the thrill and excitement of the outdoors, which promotes growth and development of the mind, body and soul. Our recreational and educational experiences are incorporated into such activities as arts and crafts; drama; home economics; instructional swimming; cultural excursions; academic tutelage, out of town day trips; outdoor sports; dance; indoor games; and much, much more. The camp is run annually in the months of July and August and fees are calculated each year after the schedule of events has been planned and confirmed. Want to run away and join the circus? Park Slope Day Camp teaches circum acrobatics, clown comedy, and set design in their Circus of the Summer program. The best part is, little performers don’t have to run away.

Acting Out!

Belinda and Wally’s ArtsCamp is a visual and performing arts experience for ages 7 to 11 from June 29 to July 18, 2015. Each day is split between the art studio and Prospect Park making art, dancing, singing, and playing games. The path of discovery culminates in an exhibition/performance located at Prospect Range (Windsor Terrace) and in Prospect Park.

Camp Half-Blood

Ages 6-12
Camp Half-Blood is a different kind of performing arts camp. Demi-gods study archery, sword fighting, foraging and other skills needed to master their weekly quests. Greek myth is the overriding theme.

Irondale
Ages 6 to 12
Campers are led by professional Irondale actors in techniques like improv and movement and also character development and story telling. Irondale works in conjunction with Brooklyn Creative Arts Lab.

Piper Theatre Productions

Join a  2- or 4-week summer workshop at Piper Theatre and you’ll be in for a memorable July. Swords, zombies, pirates, love beads, jealousy, Shakespeare, music, film and more, performed on our professional outdoor stage. This year Piper is joining hands with Off The Page so students can write the plays they will perform.
