13-Year-Old Attacked During Attempted Robbery In Brighton Beach, Cops Say

Cops are searching for a suspect they say attacked a 13-year-old boy during an attempted robbery last week in Brighton Beach.

According to the NYPD, the victim was approached by an older teenager on Wednesday, September 9, at 3pm while walking along Brighton 10th Street, near Brighton 10th Path. The suspect asked for the time and when the younger teen responded, he was attacked, police say. The older teenager then went through the victim’s pockets but came up empty handed, according to authorities.

Police say the suspect is in his late teens, black and six feet tall. Cops have provided a surveillance photo of the suspect.
