You May Get Zoned Out of PS 107 and PS 321
PS 107 and PS 321 are both such sought-after schools in the neighborhood that they’ve often had kids from within their zoned district not make it in. In an effort to fix the packed schools, DNAinfo reports that District 15 may be rezoned, meaning some families who thought their children would have a chance at these schools may suddenly have to reexamine their options.
As part of this plan, they’re also hoping to open a new zoned school in the former Thomas Aquinas School on 8th St and 4th Ave.
The Department of Education is expected to announce the potential changes at the District 15 Community Education Council this Wednesday, October 17 at 7pm at PS 38.
