For parents still searching for free universal pre-K seats for their 4-year-olds, we have good news: Aim High Children’s Services (located at Temple Beth Emeth at the corner of Church Avenue and Marlborough Road) has 48 available seats for which you can register.

To register for the full-day seats, which are funded through the state, you can call (718) 853-1750 or email UPK@aimhighchild.org. Heads up: to register, you’ll need to provide a birth certificate for the child, proof of address, and a medical report from the child’s doctor. Also, your child must be 4 years old by Dec. 31 to qualify for a seat.

When we spoke to Aim High Children’s Services today, they noted that the program has certified teachers; an enriched curriculum offering literacy; movement, music and art; and more. Additionally, they said that parents of special education children are also welcome to apply.

Pre-K classes at the Temple Beth Emeth (83 Marlborough Road) site are expected to begin around mid-September.
