According to public records, Yeshiva Ktana of Bensonhurst, also known as Yeshiva Shaarei Torah, filed for Chapter 11 restructuring yesterday. The school appears to operate out of a building at 2025 67th Street near 20th Avenue, although according to the filing, its main office is located at 120 Avenue M between McDonald Ave and East 1st Street.
If you or someone you know is active in this institution, don’t jump to conclusions about its fate. In a chapter 11, as long as an organization’s debts don’t exceed the value of its assets, the entity isn’t liquidated or put out of business.
