Woman Stabbed, Suspect Dead After Altercation At 60 Clarkson

Police from the 70th Precinct shot and killed a man who allegedly stabbed a woman, then threatened them last night at 60 Clarkson Avenue (between Flatbush and Bedford Avenues), according to the NYPD.

Two officers responded to an 8:30pm call of a woman stabbed, who they found in the building lobby with a wound to her shoulder. Upon entry to an apartment on the second floor, the officers were confronted by the suspect, who they say lunged at them with a pair of scissors.

Both officers fired their guns, hitting the suspect in the hand and torso. EMS pronounced the suspect dead on scene. The female victim was transported to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, and both officers were taken to Maimonides Hospital for tinnitus.

A pair of scissors was recovered from the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
