A 52-year-old woman leapt to her death from a 9th floor co-op in Gravesend this week in apparent suicide.

Horrified neighbors watched as the woman, known as Felicia, hung off her Harway Terrace balcony on April 13 at 8:15am, reports the Brooklyn Paper. A maintenance worker who found Felicia on the ground called 911.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The Brooklyn Paper describes the deceased:

The woman was sensitive, and appeared unsettled in the days leading up to her death.
“I saw her two days ago pouring coffee — her hands were shaking all over the place,” the groundskeeper said.

Others who knew Felicia described her as a carefree, music lover.

“She used to sing out loud all the time,” another maintenance worker who identified himself as Charles told the outlet. “I used to tell her ‘There’s no age limit on X Factor.’”

Our thoughts and condolences are with Felicia’s loved ones.
