Where Do New New Yorkers Live?

When they move to our fair city, where do the new New Yorkers live?

WNYC, masters of interactive maps, have a new map answering just that question. Where have new New Yorkers settled from 2007-2011?

Our own neighborhood sits mostly around 0.5% new New Yorkers [who like to answer census survey questions], with heavier concentrations of people who moved from another state close to Prospect Park and Fiske Terrace, and of people who moved from abroad also near Prospect Park, and just east of Ocean Ave and Dorchester. The rest of the city is generally predictable, but our neighborhood’s number seems at least a bit surprising.

The map also plots median income, which shows it’s higher in Prospect Park South, Beverley Square West, and West Midwood.
