What To Look Out For On Local Subway Lines This Long Weekend

Ready for the long weekend? If you’re looking to get around town by subway, things aren’t looking too bad — just remember that on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, subways and buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.

As for our local lines, here’s what to look out for via the MTA:

Church Av 2 Station is closed due to West Indian-American Day Parade & Carnival
Late night, 11pm Sunday to 4am Monday, August 31-September 1
Use the nearby Beverly Rd or Winthrop St Stations instead.
No G trains between Nassau Av and Court Sq
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
G service operates between Church Av and Nassau Av. Manhattan Av shuttle buses run between Nassau Av and Court Sq, stopping at Greenpoint Av and 21 St. McGuinness Blvd shuttle buses run between the Lorimer St L stop and Court Sq, stopping near G stations at Nassau Av, Greenpoint Av, and 21 St. See the full details here.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the 2, 3, 4, D, F, Q, and R lines.
