Electronics Recycling Event
When: Saturday, May 10, 10am-4pm
Where: Holy Name of Jesus Church, 245 Prospect Park West
What: Clean out those closets and gather up those old electronics for a Lower East Side Ecology Center recycling event.
How much: Free.

6/15 Green Spring Festival & Plant Sale
When: Saturday, May 10, 1-5pm
Where: 6/15 Green, corner of 6th Avenue and 15th Street
What: Neighbors are invited to stop by and pick up plants — including veggies, herbs, and divisions of special plants from the garden itself — at bargain prices. Plus, enjoy a potluck meal that starts at 3pm — just bring some food to share.
How much: Free.

History In Your Hands: Fleece Fun
When: Saturday and Sundays through May 31, 2-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Ever wondered how wool was used on a Colonial farm? Visit Lefferts House weekends in May to brush wool with carding paddles, spin yarn using a drop spindle, and even make a felt ball to take home with you. Ewe won’t want to miss it!
How much: $3 suggested donation

The Monro Pub’s 2nd Anniversary Party
When: Saturday, May 10, 9pm-4am
Where: 481 5th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Streets
What: Come raise a glass with neighbors Vinny and Nicole as they celebrate The Monro Pub’s second year on 5th Avenue. There will be “cheap booze, free food, karaoke, and dancing!” Congratulations, Monro Pub!

Story Time With Amy
When: Sunday, May 11, 11:30am-12pm
Where: Powerhouse on 8th, 1111 8th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Streets
What: Wind down Sunday with Powerhouse on 8th’s weekly story time, geared toward kids ages 3-7.

Bones Of An Old Dutch Farmhouse
When: Sunday, May 11, 12-1pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Ever wanted to take an up close and personal look at the white oak timbers (bones) of Lefferts House? Adults and teens (10 per tour) will have the opportunity Sunday to explore the many layers that were added, subtracted, and changed in our park’s historic farmhouse over the past 230 years. Reservations are required. Call 347-992-4732 to reserve your spot.
