Weekday Fun: The Best Events April 21-23
Get out and enjoy some of the great events coming up in the neighborhood this week — just don’t forget an umbrella tomorrow night, when we’re supposed to see some rain! From a town hall meeting on Vision Zero to a TV trivia night and a screening of a Park Slope-set film, there’s a lot to do in the area this week, and all free. Details on those events and more:
Vision Zero Town Hall Meeting

Where: PS 321 at 180 7th Avenue
What: If you’ve got questions or concerns about traffic calming measures in our neighborhood and around the city, you’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback and identify dangerous spots as representatives from city agencies will be on hand to provide an update on the Vision Zero Action Plan.
Fiction For Beginners

What: Learn how to jumpstart your story with strong openings and how to develop memorable characters in this interactive course from Monique Antonette Lewis, founder of At The Inkwell.

Life Choices: How To Create An Estate Plan That Protects Your Family

Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: If you’ve wanted to create a will, but didn’t know where to start, join Friends of Park Slope Library for an interactive discussion with Brooklyn lawyers Brian Esser and Jonathan Latimer that will cover issues such as picking a guardian, creating a trust, and avoiding estate taxes.

Philip Kitcher On The Hard Problem Of Climate Change

What: Timely for Earth Day, Philip Kitcher of Columbia University will be speaking about assessing and responding to the threats posed by climate change in our current political environment.

Women’s Heart To Heart Lecture & Dinner
