Monday: Thao Ngyuen of Thao & the Get Down Stay Down has been called “one of the most commanding and distinctive young singers around.” See what all the fuss is about tonight at The Bell House — but grab tickets soon, there are only a handful left.

Tuesday: If you like to laugh, but you don’t like to pay for it, The Rock Shop has just the thing. Shotgunnin’ It with Tim Duffy, Lukas Kaiser, and more is an “evening of free comedy and binge drinking,” and the lineup includes Ted Travelstead, Chris Lamberth, Justin Perez, and more.

Wednesday: The diversity of Brooklyn is the subject of photographer Lev Dodin’s presentation and exhibition at the Central Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. His photos, including the one shown above, are shot in Bensonhurst, Dumbo, Brighton Beach, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and Borough Park, to name a few places. Get there early for a wine and cheese reception and the distribution of tickets.
