This Week: Voice Your Opinions At Two Important Community Meetings

All residents of are invited to join two community meetings this week; the community board 12 zoning variance  planning committee tonight; and the 66th precinct community council meeting tomorrow.

  1. Community Board 12 Zoning Variance Planning Committee, Wednesday, June 15 at 6:30pm

Land use proposals for four properties are on the agenda tonight; two properties around Kensington (1128 36th Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Minna Street; and 1147 38th Street, between Fort Hamilton Parkway and 12th Avenue), and two properties in Borough Park. At 36th street, the applicant is requesting two special permits to build a six-story mixed use community and commercial building. At 38th street, the applicant is seeking an amendment to a previously approved plan to build a Group 3 school.

The zoning variance planning meeting is tonight, Wednesday, June 15th at 6:30pm, at the office of Community Board 12 — 5910 13th Avenue, between 59th and 60th Streets.

The 66th Precinct Community Council meeting is Thursday, June 16th at 7:30pm, also at the office of Community Board 12 — 5910 13th Avenue, between 59th and 60th Streets.

Join Commanding Officer Captain Kenneth Quick for the last 66th precinct community council meeting until September. Quick will provide an update on the latest crimes in our community, and updates on NYPD programs that may be of interest to the community. Residents can also bring any crime issues to the Precinct’s attention.
