Watch Out For No Parking & Closed Roads For August Block Parties
We are in the middle of block party season, which means a lot of fun with your neighbors — but also some hassles for parking and traveling around the area.
To give you a heads up, we’ll be rounding up a list of street closures for block parties each month this summer. August isn’t too busy, but there are still a few weekend dates to watch out for. With thanks to Community Board 6 and Community Board 7, here are the details:
August 2: 18th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues
August 9: Caton Place between Coney Island Avenue and East 8th Street
August 23: 12th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues
August 23: 23rd Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues
August 23: 32nd Street between 4th & 5th Avenues
August 30: 14th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues

CB6 tells us they’re still working on some permits for the season, so this list may not be complete (we will update it if we get any more), so please keep an eye out for ‘no parking’ signs just in case.
