WANTED: MAKSIM GELMAN – STABBING DEATHS OF 3

Maksim Gelman, suspect in stabbing of Aleksandr Kuznetsov

Police are looking for MAKSIM GELMAN, M/W/23, 6’00 170 LBS in connection with the stabbing deaths of three individuals today in the confines of the 61st Precinct. Gelman is believed to be driving a green four-door 1995 Pontiac Bonneville, NY Plate KJX-189.

Gelman allegedly murdered his stepfather around 5:00 a.m. on Emmons Avenue and East 27th Street. Gelman then stabbed to death his girlfriend and her mother at around 4:30 p.m. on East 24th Street between Avenue X and Avenue Y. He then carjacked a 50-year-old man out front, slashing him, and struck an 80-year-old woman on Ocean Avenue and Avenue R, leaving her in critical condition.

According to the New York Post, the 80-year-old is in stable condition at Lutheran Medical Center.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you identify Gelman or his vehicle, seek safety and call 911 immediately.
