Kensington may be getting a walk-in medical clinic on Beverley Road at East 7th street, though this sign has been hanging from the residential terrace for about two years with no business opening in sight, one neighbor told us.

The commercial unit at 624 Beverley Road was registered to MLG Medical PC in 2014, according to HIPAA. The doctor associated with this practice is Dr. Michael Greenberg, an internal medicine specialist. But when we tried to call the number listed on this sign and the business registration, the phone rang endlessly without a voicemail.

So is this a new medical clinic coming to the neighborhood, or just an eye sore?

We reached out to the landlord, but he was unable to provide us with more information at the time of publication.

Currently the building is registered for two single-family residential units on the first and second floors respectively, and one commercial doctors office on the ground floor, according to Department of Building records. The ground floor has been zoned for a doctor’s office since 1971, according to the Certificate of Occupancy, but we found no records of other businesses in this space.

A walk-in medical clinic could provide a valuable service for Kensington neighbors to the east of Ocean Parkway, where AdvantageCare physicians/Central Brooklyn Medical group at 1000 Church Avenue is one of the only other listed clinics in a few block radius. [Note: this was amended from the original “only other listed clinic in the immediate area” for further specificity.]

We’re looking for more information to help us solve this mystery: Do you own this business, or have more information about this development in the neighborhood? Leave any information you have in the comments below, or email us directly at editor@ditmasparkcorner.com.
