Walk and Run to Restore Prospect Park

While the Marathon controversy brews, a different run is going to take place closer to home.

A Walk/Run for Prospect Park is being held Saturday morning. All proceeds will be dedicated toward the repair and restoration of the Park. The park took an extremely hard hit during the storm as made clear by neighbors’ reports and pictures from within the park. The park lost 222 trees with hundreds more damaged. The Lincoln Road Playground needs to be reconstructed due to severe damage and problems persist in various areas throughout the park.

The run check-in begins at 8 a.m., the race begins at 9 a.m. The walk check in begins at 9 a.m, the walk itself goes from 10 a.m. to noon. You can enter at 15th Street & Prospect Park West (Bartel Pritchard entrance). All ages and abilities are welcome.

Advanced Registration: Walk $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12 • Run $25
Day-of Registration: Walk $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12 • Run $30
