Sundays through Thursdays until June 25, Congregation Beth Elohim is working in partnership with CAMBA on its homeless shelter for men, hosting approximately 10-12 male guests each night, and volunteers are a big part of helping it run smoothly.

Volunteers are preparing and serving dinner, as well as staying overnight. All the slots are filled for the dinner services, but as of this post they still need a few people to commit to an overnight stay on the following nights:

  • Sunday, June 1
  • Wednesday, June 4
  • Sunday, June 8
  • Wednesday, June 11
  • Sunday, June 15
  • Tuesday, June 17

There will be cots, linens, and pillows on site, but there are no showers. Volunteers need to arrive by 7pm and depart by 7am after the guests leave by bus. Volunteers will be met by an evening coordinator to show them the ropes. At least two adults must be present and up to two teens (over age 12) may stay overnight as long as a parent is with them.

If you can, sign up to volunteer online!
