Volunteer At A BPL Branch For Love A Library Day
Cortelyou Library

Free tomorrow evening or Saturday? Volunteers are needed on and in preparation for the second Love A Library Day, to take place at 36 public library branches across the city.

The actual event, which will be on June 8 from 10am-4pm, will include volunteers organizing books, registering readers for library cards, and enrolling kids in the summer reading program.

Prior to Saturday, though, volunteers are needed tomorrow, June 5, from 5:30-7:30pm to hand out palm cards about Love A Library Day.

As of right now, it looks like two volunteers are needed at the Cortelyou branch for tomorrow evening, and seven volunteers are needed for Saturday. Arabic, Bengali, and Hindi speakers are encouraged to participate.

See the New York Cares website for a full list of branches and volunteer opportunities.
