Volunteer Alert: Help Beautify Joseph Mayrose Park Saturday
Looking for a fun way to give back to the community this weekend? Join neighbors from PS 295, MS 88, and the Gowanus Canal Conservancy on Saturday, July 19, from 11am to 3pm, as they weed Detective Joseph Mayrose Park (17th Street at the Prospect Expressway) and plant native wildflowers. The resulting pollinator garden will be used for educational purposes by students at both PS 295 and MS 88.
No need to bring any tools, just make sure you have some water, sunscreen, and a hat. After the beautification is complete, stick around for a barbecue at 3pm.
