Video: Geyser Bursts In Sunset Park After Pipe Breaks
A broken pipe caused a geyser to burst into the air in Sunset Park Friday morning.
The water main break happened on 49th Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues in Sunset Park. A video posted by CBS2 New York on its Facebook page showed water sprouting at least 20 feet in the air.
The Department of Environmental Protection took action to shut off water on the block to stop it from flowing into the broken pipe.The shutdown impacted about 200 residents, CBS2 says.
No word yet on what caused the geyser.
