Next weekend, a new local vendor market is set to open on Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush.

Junction flea, opening in the parking lot at 2220 Nostrand Avenue between Avenues H and I, will include vendors from local businesses spanning clothing, food, and African art.

The outdoor flea market will include stands by local restaurants, fresh fruits and vegetables, and could expand to include a holiday-themed market in the winter, said owner Kostas Kormopoulos.

“It’s going to be a very diverse market,” said Kostas, who was also the owner of the now-shuttered La Crêpe et La Vie on Foster Avenue. “Something for the community”

The market will open on Saturday, August 5 (the original date has been moved due to rain forecasts). Regular hours will be 11am to 6pm, Saturdays and Sundays.

There are currently eleven vendors signed up, said Kostas, but they’re hoping to attract more. If you own a local business or restaurant and would like to get involved, contact Kostas at kostasbrooklyn97@gmail.com.
